GROUP GRANT WRITING TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

With over 30 years of grant capture experience from The Wellcome Trust, MRC  and BBSRC as well as grant panel experience at The Wellcome Trust  and BBSRC and international panels, I am excited to support more people in their grant writing endeavours.

If you have academic staff who are excited by the science, and have ideas about projects, but have been struggling to find time or headspace to write grants this grant writing training is ideal. Grant capture offers high value reward on investment.

Four session  grant writing training programme with a focus on supporting grant-writing primarily in the area of life, medical and biosciences. While there can be some flexibility, the framework is aimed to run as  four in-person group sessions alongside 2-3 individual coaching sessions. Each programme can run with up to 12 participants. 

Over the  sessions the group will learn to understand how to sell their ideas to capture the interest of different reader groups; key  ideas will be developed and presented to other group members; draft cases for support will be written and reviewed.  Groups will be encouraged to develop a team dynamic to generate shared accountability that can extend beyond the term of the programme.
